I received this product in exchange for an honest review. As always, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
We all love a pearly white smile, right. I mean, who doesn’t? I have always done a pretty decent job of maintaining a bright smile, but because of my love affair with both coffee and wine, my teeth have started to look a bit lackluster lately.
Although a bit skeptical at first, I decided to give the Carbon Coco Activated Charcoal Whitening Toothpaste a try. I received their Ultimate Carbon Kit which includes one tube of activated charcoal toothpaste, one container of activated charcoal tooth polish, and one bamboo bristle toothbrush.
HOW THE PRODUCT WORKS
Carbon Coco uses an activated charcoal powder to naturally whiten your teeth. This powder is safe for ingestion. It not only whitens your teeth, but detoxifies your mouth as well.
“Pitch-black powder to whiten your teeth? Yes! Activated charcoal is the secret ingredient. It’s an oxidized version of charcoal and can be used to effectively whiten teeth. It removes external stains from your teeth without the toxic chemical ingredients used in commercial tooth whitening. This tooth whitening promotes good oral health and can change the pH in the mouth, helping to reduce things that cause cavities, gum disease and bad breath.
Carbon Coco is a 100% Natural Teeth Whitener. It naturally whiten teeth, polishes teeth, strengthens enamel and detoxifies your mouth without any chemicals and added nasties.
How to use:
Simply dip a wet toothbrush into the fine, odorless and tasteless black dust. Brush in small gentle circles for two minutes. Spit it out carefully, rinse really well and you’re done.”
HOW I USED THE PRODUCT
I used this product for seven consecutive days, and followed the instructions to a tee. I wet the toothbrush that was provided and dipped it into the charcoal tooth polish. Afterwards I brushed my teeth thoroughly for a full three minutes. I must forewarn you, this stuff is extremely messy! The tooth polish is a powder, and when I opened it, it went everywhere! I got charcoal all over my sink and hands. When I saw how black my teeth were while brushing, I was afraid that it would stain my teeth. Thankfully, it was easy to clean the charcoal from my sink, and after a couple of washings, I was able to get it off of my hands. My teeth were not stained, however, I had to rinse my mouth multiple times to remove all of the charcoal from my teeth.
Afterwards, I brushed my teeth with the charcoal toothpaste for a full three minutes as well. Surprisingly, the charcoal left no aftertaste in my mouth.
As I mentioned earlier, I used this product for seven days. Here are the results:
As you can see, their isn’t a huge difference between the two pictures. My teeth did not turn out as white as I was hoping, but they are whiter than they were before I started the regimen. I must say that I was fairly pleased with the results.
As I mentioned, I was skeptical about using this product. I didn’t think I would see any improvement in the color of my teeth. Although there was no drastic change, I can see that my teeth are regaining their luster. I personally don’t use this product daily, but I do use it regularly. I think that if I continue to use Carbon Coco, I will achieve my desired results of whiter, brighter teeth. If you’re looking to whiten your teeth naturally, and don’t mind a bit of a mess, give Carbon Coco Activated Charcoal Toothpaste a try!
