Good morning to you! I hope you all are having a pleasant Thursday. I have had a pretty productive week. I accomplished just about everything that was on my to-do list. This weeks focus has been on getting organized. I have done a bit of blog maintenance, filed away a ton of paperwork and organized my desk.
I have been feeling a bit sluggish and I think it is mostly due to my diet. I have made several small changes, but I think I need to seriously cut back on my intake of both caffeine and sugar. Lord knows it is going to be hard because I loves me some coffee! And don’t get me started with sugar. I am always on a roller coaster ride when it comes to sweet treats. I will go for an extended period of time without eating a bunch of junk, and then I suddenly fall off of the wagon and consume every chocolatey treat I lay my eyes on. My plan is to switch to decaf coffee and instead of two cups, I will only have one cup in the morning (hey, we’re taking baby steps here) and I really want to lay off of the junk until November 23, which is Thanksgiving Day.
I plan to devour all of the cookies, cakes and pies (along with the rest of my Thanksgiving meal) that I can. I go all out around the holidays, so there is no need in lying to myself about eating healthy or cutting back. But anyway, we’ll talk about that at a later time.
I have really been enjoying the cool temperatures and I am looking forward to fall, as it is my absolute favorite time of the year. I love wearing warm sweaters and fuzzy slippers. Spending lazy weekend afternoons on the couch with my hubby binge watching movies. And don’t get me started on the candles. I love the smell of fall scented candles, and to watch the flicker of the flame as they burn. I think it’s time for me to purchase my stash for this season.
